How long have you been doing CrossFit?
Five years, since August 2012

What were you most scared or nervous about when you started CrossFit?
Three things: being too old, Not fitting in and not being able to keep up. None of those things actually materialized. Everyone is supportive and the people who are in better shape than me or motivation to do better.

What goals did you have when you started?
Have more energy, look better and become more fit.

What keeps you coming back?
I feel good physically and mentally he. I don't want to lose that. I need to keep up with grandchildren who like outdoor activities.

What goals or personal records have you achieve that you never thought you would?
Getting stronger and increasing my stamina has enabled me to accomplish and enjoy hiking trips like somebody half Dome in Yosemite. Also increasing muscle tone has strengthen my joints which is important as I age.

What's your favorite movement?
Deadlifts

What's your least favorite movement?
Turkish get ups (ugh!)

Any other information or words of wisdom you could give to someone else who's thinking about trying CrossFit?
The people I work out with our fun and supportive. It's hard work but the results are worth it. You're really only competing against yourself in the limitations of your body.
